Windmills. Tulips. Wooden clogs with pointed tips. Folk costume.... These are the symbols of Netherlands (or Holland) - an Europe country that I yet set foot on, though I've been to this part of the world for almost 1o times. The beautiful images of the country was the backdrop of the Hongkong drama (僵). Of course, I'm not there to seek exciting encounters withe the vampires, but the beautiful landscape that also comes with the architecture (both old and new).

Day 7 (Mon 20170612) De Oude Kerk

The Old Church, which is situated within the red light district.

The church has a ceiling made of wood. In fact, there's any level above this.
Notice that it looked like an inverted ship?
This is a church that was frequented by sailor for blessings before setting off.

Many of the ledger stones were covered with gold foil.

This is an area where bread was distributed to the poor.

Stained Glass windows - a common sight in churches

The design on the fabric is unique for each chair, which also comes with a name.
Each chair tells the story of an individual in the community.
