The Nieuwmarkt is part of the central city, where the Chinatown is.
However, unlike many of the Chinatown in the overseas country, one could hardly find Chinese restaurants or shops here, except a supermarket.
What stands out here is the Waag, which is the oldest non-religious building in Amsterdam though initially I thought it was a church when saw it from far.
The area is littered with eateries... and many cafes....
